Hello! Please check off all the events for which you would like to join us this month.

Parents' Night Out is a site- and community-based program that provides children and teens with events that provide them with the opportunity to interact with their peers. In the meantime, parents and guardians are afforded time for themselves.
This form is only for families who have already registered with Advancing Opportunities. If you are interested in participating in Parents' Night Out, please contact Jennifer Palmer, at

You can also reach Jennifer Palmer at the office at, 973-426-1522, ext. 113. During PNO events, she can be reached on the PNO cell, at 973-580-7937. Please register as early in the month as possible to allow for staffing arrangements.
Tonight, we celebrate World Animal Day with some animal-themed activities. We’ll have our usual Legos, toys, and games and take a walk outside.
Please have dinner at home and pack a peanut- and tree-nut–free snack and drink.
    When: 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Where: Center for Healthier Living, Medical Arts Bldg., 108 Bilby Rd., Ste. 101, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
Eat lunch at home; then, meet our ANO friends at the office for a van ride to the Mylestone Equine Rescue Farm in Phillipsburg for their annual fund-raising Open House. We will focus on the healthy horses and enjoy the cheerful festival atmosphere.
Send a brown bag snack or bring spending money for a bake sale snack and drink. There will be vendors and a small rummage sale.
Please dress for the weather, as this is an outside event and runs rain or shine.

Please note: This event is for teens 14 and older.
    When: 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Mylestone Equine Rescue Farm, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865
Gather to socialize with your friends. Hopefully, it will be a sunny evening so we can play outside on the playground one more time before it’s too dark at night. Then, we’ll come in for some karaoke fun. We’ll have our usual Legos, toys and games.
Please eat dinner before you come and bring a peanut- and tree-nut–free snack and drink.
    When: 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Where: First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, Education Annex (detached building), 32 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871
We start early tonight, so bring a bagged dinner and eat with your friends. We are hoping for good weather, so we can take walks outside before (or after) dark. We will have our usual gross-motor equipment.
PNO will provide snack—we will work together to make a pumpkin dessert.
    When: 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Where: First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway, Fellowship Hall, 35 Church St., Rockaway, NJ 07866
Tonight, Mrs. Karen will visit to lead a Halloween-themed Music and Movement session. We will play some pumpkin games and take a flashlight walk. Non-scary costumes or Halloween-festive attire are encouraged, but optional.

    When: 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Where: Christ Episcopal Church, Community Room, 369 Sand Shore Rd., Budd Lake 07828
We will meet at Panera for dinner and then walk downstairs for a G- or PG-rated movie. PNO will provide the movie ticket and a movie snack. When I confirm your registration, I will inform you of the movie choice and confirm the beginning and ending times of this event.
Please note: Beginning this month, we need participants to pay for their own meal. Please bring $12 cash in an envelope.
    When: TBA (about 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.)
Where: Panera Bread and the Sparta Theatre, 25 Centre St., Sparta NJ 07870
