Spring Hoedown Recap

The 4th Annual Spring Hoedown was an incredible night for our agency. Not only did we celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations that truly embody our mission, we also smashed our previous fundraising goals.  All funds raised will be reinvested in the services and supports we provide to help our consumers achieve greater independence.

Members of KPMG’s Abilities in Motion Network were on hand to be recognized as Volunteers of the Year for the work they have done to support our Demarest and Emerson homes. Rachel Stark and her colleagues from Stark & Stark Attorneys at Law were deeply honored to be recognized as Corporation of the Year. And, Elizabeth M. Boggs Award for Advocacy recipient Stephanie Pratico gave a passionate speech about her experience as a powerful advocate on the local, state and federal level for people with disabilities, including her two children John and Sara. Perhaps the highlight of the night, however, came from Andrew J. Murphy Award winner Ryan Tannenbaum. Ryan is a part of our Career Development Program and he shared how the support he received from our team is helping him achieve his career goals.

Congratulations to all the night’s honorees and a heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors, attendees and auction donors. Your commitment to our mission is unsurpassed. Check out the fun we had out at Laurita Winery on a beautiful Friday evening…and mark your calendar for next year!
