Facing the Future is a conference for professionals highlighting best practices in supporting people with disabilities in career planning, customized employment, and transition from school to work.
Coming Friday, March 24, an important conference will highlight critical issues in promoting the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities through employment. The conference is co-sponsored by the Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the New Jersey chapter of APSE, the Association of People Supporting EmploymentFirst. The conference runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick, NJ.
Advancing Opportunities is proud to be part of this important event. Jeannette Van Houten, Assistive Technology Specialist, will be presenting “Technology for All Workers: How Apps, Software, and Extensions Can Play a Role” (Workshop 16), from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
