We’ll Be at the Facets of Dyslexia Conference

Advancing Opportunities’ Assistive Technology Services Department is proud to sponsor Cooper Learning Center’s Fourth Annual Facets of Dyslexia Conference on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

This informative conference on using various forms of assistive technology will be held on April 29, 2017.

This year’s conference features Keynote Speaker Dr. Ellen Braaten, Ph.D., psychologist, researcher, author, and television contributor, whose address is “Bright Kids Who Can’t Keep Up” and will cover ways professionals and parents can help students improve processing speed.

In addition, Lisa Costenbader, Assistive Technology Specialist, will be presenting on using Google Chrome Extensions to meet the needs of learners with dyslexia.  She will be focusing on extensions for reading and writing.

The conference also features as over 20 different workshops. Attendees may qualify for up to six NJ CEUs and the conference will meet the state’s 2-hour Dyslexia Requirement.
