The BASS switch and Switch Interface Pro allow students with dyslexia access to multiple computer functions.

Famous for its hard- and software products to help students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, Don Johnston also offers devices enabling these pupils to gain easy access to these tools.

BASS Switch

The BASS switch has generous flat surface (4 by 6 inches); this requires less than 5 ounces of pressure to activate a device or program. Covers of various colors are available, enabling the user to connect several switches at once and differentiate among them. Though this switch has been discontinued, several distributors still carry it, as does the Technology Lending Center.

Switch Interface Pro 6.0

Many users of communication devices and apps require more than one switch or input device, such as BASS switches. Don Johnston has responded with the Switch Interface Pro 6.0. This easy-to-use tool allows the user connect as many as five applications to a single USB port.
