Saturday may be days away, but that the special day for Billy S. “He looks forward to events every Saturday,” says his mother, Zoia. When asked which events are his favorite, Billy and his mom say they love participating in many activities at Weekend Recreation.
Once a month, the Weekend Recreation team holds a large social gathering at the Totowa Public Library. Most of these events are themed, by season of holiday; this is reflected in the crafts project and, at times, bingo. And Billy is a regular participant there. “He loves Weekend Recreation,” says Zoia.
With Weekend Recreation, Billy loves being out in the community, be it a day at the mall, bowling, movies, or a lunch at a pizzeria. The program offers Billy valuable time to socialize with the many friends he has made among his peers there. “We enjoy Weekend Recreation,” says Zoia. “It’s a great program!”
