On October 30, Governor Murphy announced the launch of the Get Covered New Jersey public awareness campaign, which will promote health coverage options available to residents. An important part of the Get Covered New Jersey campaign is to remind all residents of the 2019 open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act, which runs from November 1 through December 15, 2018. The governor stressed the importance of ensuring that “residents don’t miss the six-week window to enroll, that they get the financial assistance they are due, and that they know where to go to if they need help along the way.”
As part of the public awareness campaign, the state launched the Get Covered New Jersey website, which will serve as a portal for individuals seeking health coverage. The site includes information about plan options, as well as materials that can be used by community organizations, public and nonprofit agencies and grassroots organizations in enrollment outreach.
The six-week ACA open-enrollment period is November 1 through December 15, 2018.
