On Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, the College Student Empowerment Council (CSEC) held an open peer mentoring session for students attending Rowan University and Georgian Court University.
Members of the CSEC met in person at the Advancing Opportunities headquarters as students from Rowan and GCU signed in to a video conference.
The topic of discussion for this first peer mentoring session was goal-setting. CSEC members presented a bunch of tips and tricks on how to effectively set goals and accomplish them within academic, professional, and personal contexts. To view this presentation, click here.
Afterward, the discussion was open to anyone to talk about challenges they are personally facing on the road to accomplishing their goals.
CSEC plans on having three more peer mentoring sessions this summer–one in June, one in July, and one in August.
