The DDD Community Care Waiver (CCW) to Be Incorporated into New Jersey’s Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver

Division Developmental Disabilities DDD update

Hello Division Constituents and Community Partners,

Effective November 1, 2017, the Division’s 1915(c) Community Care Waiver (CCW) will be incorporated into New Jersey’s larger and more wide-ranging 1115(a) demonstration waiver, known as the Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver. As required by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Division will mail letters to all individuals currently enrolled on the CCW to make them aware of the change. There is nothing that individuals, families, support coordinators, or service providers need to do. This is an administrative adjustment only and will not impact services.

DDD Community Care Waiver to move to New Jersey Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver

The Division has developed FAQs: Moving DDD’s Community Care Waiver (CCW) to New Jersey’s Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver to help stakeholders better understand this change. In addition, there will be an opportunity to hear more about this change and ask questions at the Division’s Quarterly Update Meetings for Families and Providers, which are scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Thank you.
