Advancing Opportunities provides individual supports in the community in group settings. Currently, there are four regularly scheduled programs offered around the state. Participants can sign up for the weekly activities online. The programs offer a variety of different events, including craft and theme nights, bowling, movies, local theater or sporting events, cooking classes, and fun local field trips.

• Adults’ Night Out is offered for men and women registered with DDD in Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties.
• Parents’ Night Out—North is available for children registered with DCF through the Children’s System of Care in Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties.
• Parents’ Night Out—South is available for children registered with DCF through the Children’s System of Care in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.
• Weekend Recreation is available to individuals registered with DDD and DCF in Passaic and Essex counties.
